John Wayne Tolson, 76, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Baptist Health Lexington.
John was preceded in death by his father and mother, John B. and Rena Rankin Tolson, one sister, Pat Massie, and one nephew, Ronald Gregory Massie.
John graduated from Paris High School and attended the University of Kentucky. He was an avid Alabama fan and active in the thoroughbred industry for over 30 years. His generosity and kindness will be missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by two nephews, Richard Ray (Lynn) Massie, Robert Patrick (Shari) Massie, brother-in-law, Jack Massie, and several great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Whit Criswell officiating.
