Sentiment from your Classmates "OUR SISSY" by Jill
(read at the memorial service and joined by all classmates attending)

OUR SISSY.....the one we all love...
our own schoolmate...
GRINNING BIG!
JUMPING!
Arms outstretched for a hug.
(WE HEAR YOU
before we SEE you!)

Endearing scream of glee...
Effervescent!
Smiling and laughing.

A giggle,a laugh..AT WHAT?!
No one remembers AT WHAT...!
We were just HAPPY...great
friends, childhood playmates,
and CLASSMATES.

The honored and respected Maya
Angelou wrote that "we may not remember
what someone said, but we never forget
how they made us feel."
Our Sissy ....made us feel UPBEAT....
OPTIMISTIC...EXUBERANT...SILLY...AND READY
FOR FUN!

Our Sissy...now gone.
Have a single, precious thought of her..
THINK! REMEMBER! LAUGH! cry......
Sissy was one of a kind.

Sissy's legacy to us is her love of life
and the fortitude she showed in her years
of fighting cancer and trying to
STAY WITH US.

She loved with passion and loved us all....
AND WE LOVED HER BACK. OUR SISSY

I read the memory update carefully and Sissy continued her "most popular" personality and charm throughout her life. We all miss her. David C

Sissy, we started in kindergarden together and graduated from EKU together. I have very few childhood memoirs that do not include Sissy. Sissy was the first girl I had a crush on and was always one of my best friends. I spent many days on her porch just talking and having fun. We always danced together at teen square. Sissy always had a smile and was always upbeat about life. I will always remember Sissy and when I do it will always be with love and a smile on my face. We love and miss you Sissy.
